Drexler limited-slip differentials have record-breaking performance, and are designed from the ground up for endurance track use. This equates to constant preloads across the differential, allowing for repeatable lap times.
GT cars, Touring cars, Formula racing cars, Formula student, and series production cars have all used Drexler LSDs to improve traction. For example the Vauxhall/Opel Astra VXR, the BMW E90 WTCC and the Porsche 997 GT3 RSR (FIA GT2 Championship winner 2009) trust Drexler LSDs to aid performance and increase reliability.
All Drexler LSDs are custom-made in Germany for each order. They are tailored to the vehicle’s requirements for maximum improvement in handling dynamics, acceleration and braking. During high performance conditions the stability and control can make the difference between 1st and 2nd place.
They are designed using multiple molybdenum plates to reduce wear and increase reliability. Molybdenum is very durable and has been shown to withstand years of hard use and still maintain a high coefficient of friction. It also provides very progressive lock and allows for smooth turning at low speeds. These qualities make Drexler suitable for all types of race use and road use.
A variety of ramp angle options are available to suit varying types of use. Preloads can also be varied, and are available as low as 0 FtLb. We will provide advice and will spec the differential appropriately to suit your needs.
